WBE is a multi-disciplined contracting company, providing contracting services in mining, civil and environmental to the Mining, Defence, Government and Industry sectors. Also, majority Indigenous owned and operated. Drawing on the many years of mining, civil and environmental knowledge the directors have, they aim to form a services company of choice, for both client and employee. David has over 10 years experience within the mining sector, working nationally with clients such as BHP, FMG and Rio Tinto. The projects included mobile and fixed plant crushing and screening, bulk material handling and port operations. Other successful projects completed with these clients involved drains and culverts, road construction and site rehabilitation. Internationally, he played an integral part in construction and production at Grasberg, the worlds biggest block cave mine, to bring it into production on time. At the Sukari gold mine in Egypt he was tasked with Quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) compliance of ground support as well as day to day operations within the underground mine. He has over 20 years in leadership/ management positions and completed study in Environmental Management, Leadership and Training. With his study and broad operational and technical
knowledge, David aims to build WBE into an innovative and reputable contracting enterprise.
Glen is a Kokotha/ Arabana man with 20 years mining industry experience working both surface and underground in various capacities including HD mechanic trade. He has extensive knowledge in Aboriginal Heritage, including as the Aboriginal Heritage Manager for the Kokotha Aboriginal Corporation and a board member of the SA Heritage Committee for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet SA. Glen has been at the forefront of Indigenous Heritage, sharing his knowledge and provided leadership to companies such as BHP, OZ Minerals and FMG in the preservation and protection of aboriginal heritage.
He is also the recipient of the Man Of The Year Award 2020 during NAIDOC week celebrations, as a result of Glen's continuing contribution to the community, working with troubled and disadvantaged people and guiding them towards a better lifestyle. Glen intends to integrate this passion for community in to WBE to ensure it is not only a contractor of choice but also an employer of choice.
